Jackie Barone, M.S., CCC-SLP

Welcome! I'm Jackie, an American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist. Here's a little bit about me:

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Vermont in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I hold a professional license with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation as well as an educational license with the Vermont Agency of Education.

Since 2016, I have been conducting pediatric speech-language evaluations and treatment within the school setting and through community outreach (e.g., homes, childcares) for preschool and early school-age children. I particularly enjoy working with younger kiddos on articulation and phonology to help prepare them for becoming readers.

Outside of the therapy room, you can find me reading, playing outside with my daughter, working on a puzzle, watching the Boston Bruins (Go B's!) or attempting DIY home renovations with my husband.

I believe that connection is the foundation for regulation, engagement, and growth. Establishing and nurturing that solid foundation with my clients and their families is a huge focus of my practice. I also believe that play facilitates the fastest and deepest learning outcomes. I utilize a child-led therapy approach, building on a child's individual strengths and interests in order to maximize their engagement and progress. I am passionate about teaming with families to best support my clients in the most functional way.
